Abstract Guidelines

Call for Abstracts

Abstracts for oral or poster presentation relating to any of the following symposium sub-themes are invited:

  • Cancer prevention and screening
  • Palliative and end-of-life care
  • Digital health and innovation in cancer care
  • Symptom management and psychosocial care
  • Cancer survivorship and care delivery
  • Paediatric and adolescent care
  • Genomic nursing care (for poster presentation only)

Criteria for Abstract Selection

  1. Authors submitting abstracts are requested to fill out the submission form available at the symposium website.
  2. The abstract must be relevant to one of the symposium sub-themes. Authors are asked to indicate which of the sub-themes is the most appropriate for their presentation.
  3. The abstract should describe original work with the focus of the abstract clearly stated in the title.
  4. The preferred method of presentation (oral or poster) should be indicated.
  5. The abstract should be written in English and not more than 300 words.
  6. If the abstract is for reporting a research study/ project, it must clearly indicate whether the study/ project is in progress or completed. The text must be arranged as follows: (a) Purpose of the study/ project, (b) Methods, (c) Results and discussions, and (d) Conclusions.
  7. All abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Subcommittee of the symposium. Its decisions about acceptance of an abstract and mode of presentation are final.
  8. Receipt of abstracts will be acknowledged through email. All submitting authors will be notified of the decision of the Scientific Subcommittee on or before 31 January 2024.
  9. The presenting authors of selected abstracts will be required to register for the symposium.

Best Presentation Awards

There will be four categories of awards and five awardees per category:

  1. Best Student Oral Presentation Awards
  2. Best Student Poster Presentation Awards
  3. Best Oral Presentation Awards
  4. Best Poster Presentation Awards
All abstract presenters will receive a presentation certificate.
